    "body": "<p>Onze landgenoot Thomas Detry mag voor het eerst in zijn carri&egrave;re deelnemen aan het meest prestigieuze golftornooi ter wereld: de Masters in Augusta. Het tornooi is LIVE &amp; exclusief te bekijken bij Play Sports vanaf woensdag 9 april tot en met zondag 13 april.</p><p>Na Flory Van Donck (1958), Nicolas Colsaerts (2013) en Thomas Pieters (2017, 2018, 2022, 2023) is Thomas Detry pas de vierde Belg die mag deelnemen aan de Masters. Detry dankt zijn uitnodiging aan zijn goeie prestaties. Onze landgenoot won in februari in Phoenix zijn eerste PGA-tornooi. In zijn laatste 3 Majors eindigde hij telkens in de top-15. 14<sup>de</sup> op de US Open, 4<sup>de</sup> op de US PGA en 13<sup>de</sup> op The Open.</p><p>De Masters is de enige Major waar Tomas Detry nog nooit aan mocht deelnemen. Straks speelt hij op de iconische golfbaan tussen de bloeiende azalea&rsquo;s en de torenhoge pijnbomen tegen de beste spelers van de wereld.</p><p>De 89<sup>ste</sup> Masters zijn live te volgen op Play Sports Golf. Met op woensdag 9 april, &eacute;&eacute;n dag voor de start van het tornooi, de traditionele Par 3 competitie met de families van de spelers.
