CFO Birgit Conix to leave Telenet on June 30, 2018
Brussels, March 14, 2018. Telenet Group Holding NV (Euronext Brussels: TNET, “Telenet”, the “Company”) today announced that Birgit Conix, Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), is leaving the Company after almost five years. Birgit Conix, who joined Telenet as CFO in October 2013, will continue in her current position until the end of June 2018. She played an important role in the development of Telenet’s 3-year plan, which resulted in the acquisitions of BASE and SFR. Ms. Conix will become CFO of TUI Group, the world’s leading tourism group, and will join the company as of July 15, 2018. Telenet has initiated a selection process to hire a new CFO.
Birgit Conix on her departure: ‘I have very much enjoyed working at Telenet over the past five years. Together with my colleagues, I was actively engaged to drive Telenet’s business and financial growth. The integration of BASE, the optimization of our cost structure, working capital and financing cost, as well as the search for opportunities to continue to finance our investments and acquisitions, will always remain in my memory. Telenet is well positioned to address the challenges from an ever-changing media and telecoms landscape. I am, therefore, more than confident that my colleagues of the Senior Leadership Team and the entire Finance Team will achieve the financial objectives for FY 2018 and beyond.”
John Porter, Telenet’s CEO, commented as follows: “As CFO, Birgit has greatly contributed to Telenet’s growth over the past five years. Her commitment ensured a seamless integration of various acquisitions and a stable financial trajectory with significant growth in terms of both EBITDA and Free Cash Flow. We are grateful for Birgit’s input over the past five years, which has helped Telenet to continue to develop into a healthy, sustainable company and would consequently like to express our gratitude. I wish Birgit all the best with her plans for the future. This is once again proof of the fact that leading talent at Telenet also finds its way at an international level.”
