Telenet group makes changes to its Senior Leadership structure

Mechelen, September 24, 2024. Telenet Group Holding NV announced today that it is making some changes to its Senior Leadership Team (‘SLT’). The company is making these changes to prepare to the fullest for the strategic challenges and growth opportunities ahead. Ann Caluwaerts, Chief Corporate Development, will be leaving the company after almost 14 years.

Ann Caluwaerts started at the Telenet group as a board member for Content & Public Affairs in 2011 and has taken on a range of different roles in recent years, always leaving an impactful mark. In the new Senior Leadership structure the current role of Chief Corporate Development will be split and the “Legal & Regulatory” and “People & Corporate Communications” functions will each have their own representative in the Senior Leadership team. “Strategy/New Business/M&A” will also be represented by its own SLT member. From October 1, 2024, the role of General Counsel and responsibility for “Legal & Regulatory” will be represented in the Senior Leadership Team by Bart van Sprundel, who is already in charge of these disciplines today. A selection process will be initiated for the other two roles. Ann Caluwaerts will continue in her current position until succession has been secured.

Ann Caluwaerts commented as follows about her departure:

I am extremely grateful for the chances and growth opportunities I was given at the Telenet group. The Telenet group is awash with talent and very enthusiastic and committed employees. It was a privilege to be able to lead the many teams and contribute to the Telenet Group's success story. I am confident that our colleagues are ready to move the company forward and grab the opportunities and tackle the challenges in a changing media and telecom landscape.”

John Porter, CEO of the Telenet holding, commented as follows in reaction to Ann’s departure:

"As Chief Corporate Development and in her previous roles, Ann has made an enduring mark on the strategy and progress of our company over the past 13.5 years. Ann has a gift for bringing people together, and for identifying and developing talent. Her positive energy and leadership skills ensure that teams under her care produce particularly impressive results. She is also an enthusiastic ambassador for the Telenet group. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ann for her years of dedication and wish her every success with her plans for the future.”

Bart van Sprundel, General Counsel at the Telenet group as of October 1, added:

“Over the past ten years I have had the privilege of helping to support and implement the strategic direction of the Telenet group. I am honored, therefore, to be able to continue being part of this as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Ann will be greatly missed when she leaves, given her extraordinary impact on the entire organization and on me personally. Ann was always a coach and mentor to me, she taught me an awful lot. I would like to thank her for this and at the same time wish her every success in everything she undertakes in the future.”
