Telenet Business the first in Belgium to offer mobile business plans that automatically scale with employees' data usage

45% of Belgian companies do not know how much data is included in their most commonly used cell phone plan

Mechelen, October 28, 2026 – Telenet Business is the first operator in Belgium to offer businesses a mobile plan that automatically adjusts to their actual data usage. With the new Business Mobile Dynamic rate plan, a company no longer has to select a fixed data allowance per employee in advance. Each user starts with a basic 15 GB data plan each month and automatically moves up to a higher plan of 50 GB or 300 GB, depending on usage, at the corresponding price. Those who use less pay less. Anyone who needs more will get more, without having to manually adjust the subscription. Until now, Belgian companies had the choice between pay-as-you-go plans, shared data pools or fixed data bundles, whereby the customer had to decide to upgrade.

A one-size-fits-all subscription is outdated

A survey conducted by Profacts* among 300 Belgian SMEs and large companies on behalf of Telenet Business shows that 70% of companies offer a cell phone plan to (some of) their employees. For organizations with more than 50 employees, that figure rises to 96%. Most companies pay between 16 and 40 euros per month per subscription. In eight out of ten companies the employer covers all relevant costs. Yet 45% of companies do not know exactly how much data is included in their most frequently used plan.

One reason for this lack of insight is that consumption varies widely. Nowadays, companies are faced with a wide variety of user profiles. A field employee who is on the road and makes video calls every day has a very different data usage pattern (an average of 30 to 40 GB) than an administrative employee who works primarily in the office and is connected to Wi-Fi (an average of 3 GB). Still, both often end up with the same subscription plan, or their usage is estimated in advance. As a result, companies end up paying for data they don't use. Moreover, employees will be bound by limits, resulting in additional costs or operational disruptions.

“Today, employees combine working in the office, working from home, and traveling, and are increasingly using cloud applications and video calls. As a result, their data usage is much less predictable than it used to be. Yet many companies still operate on the basis of fixed assumptions. The fact that nearly half of them don't know how much data their most-used plan includes speaks volumes. “With Dynamic, we turn this logic on its head: the subscription adapts to the employee, not the other way around,” Karl Joosten, Product Manager for Mobile Connectivity at Telenet Business.

Availability and management

Business Mobile Dynamic is available to businesses with six or more employees. Organizations can keep track of their entire mobile fleet via the Business Mobile Portal. They can also manage subscriptions, track usage and make changes. More information can be found on the website.
