Telenet proud 5th time sustainability leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, category global media sector

For the fifth year in a row, Telenet received the honor of being rewarded as global sustainability leader for the media industry by investing specialist RobecoSAM. Telenet also continues its membership of the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe and World Indices, for the sixth consecutive year. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) exclusively consists of leading companies that are best equipped to recognize and respond to emerging opportunities and risks resulting from global sustainability trends.

The results of the 2016 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices Review were announced today by S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM. Each year, over 3,000 publicly traded companies are invited to participate in RobecoSAM’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment.

The DJSI consist of leading companies across all industries that outperform their peers in the same sector on relevant sustainability metrics. The organisation assesses a company's long-term value creation with questions on financially material economic, environmental, and social practices, tracking issues such as corporate governance, environmental performance, supply chain standards and employee retention.

Areas in which Telenet was named best-in-class, apart from its overall score, are:
