WeTechCare joins forces with Telenet group to strengthen digital skills in Belgium

10 December 2025 - WeTechCare and Telenet group join forces to accelerate digital inclusion in Belgium. Through this collaboration, both organisations aim to support people across the country who face challenges with technology, by strengthening the 123Digit platform. The tool offers free practical guides and resources to help volunteers and organisations strengthen digital skills and support people with technology. With the partnership, both organisations respond to the need for digital skills in a fast-changing digital society.

Increasing need for digital skills

While almost every household has access to the internet, 35% of Belgians between the ages of 16 and 74 have low digital skills. This makes them digitally vulnerable and puts them at risk of being left behind in a society where digital participation is essential for work, education, and daily life. Both Telenet group and WeTechCare share the mission of strengthening digital inclusion in Belgium and are therefore joining forces for everyone to thrive in the digital world.

A partnership to support online tool 123Digit

With this structural partnership, Telenet group and WeTechCare support the further development and reach of 123Digit, a free online platform where anyone in Belgium can find help with all things digital. The platform, launched earlier by WeTechCare, offers educational resources, digital skills assessments, and practical guidance for both volunteers and organisations.

The partnership with Telenet group will enable 123Digit to grow further, reaching more people and supporting the social profit sector and the wider public in developing digital skills.

“We are proud to launch our partnership with Telenet group, an innovative company deeply committed to digital inclusion. This collaboration accelerates the deployment of our 123Digit platform, serving digital autonomy for everyone."

Jean Deydier, President and Founder of WeTechCare

Telenet group is committed to playing an active role in building a more inclusive digital society in Belgium. The company’s social mission goes beyond providing internet access, by also focusing on strengthening digital skills, promoting media literacy, and ensuring that technology is accessible to everyone. By investing in partnerships like WeTechCare, Telenet group aims to empower people and organisations to participate confidently in the digital world.

“We are committed to ensuring that everyone in Belgium can stay ahead in the digital world. This partnership with WeTechCare is a concrete step towards more digital progress.”

Kirsten Florentie, People & Corporate Communications Officer at Telenet group

123Digit: a powerful platform for digital helpers

Since its launch in 2019, 123Digit has already helped over 20,000 people with free educational materials and now counts over 12,000 registered digital helpers, making it the largest community of digital helpers in Europe. More than 20,000 learners and 1,500 social organisations are active on the platform, which offers over 250 educational resources and ten training themes, from online safety to digital parenting and e-health. Learners can train independently through interactive educational modules, while digital helpers have a dedicated interface to guide, support, and monitor progress, combining autonomy with personalised assistance across the entire community.
