Mechelen, 4 May 2026 - Telenet and DAZN have signed a distribution agreement for Belgian football. As a result, from next season onwards, Telenet customers will once again be able to watch all Jupiler Pro League matches live via Telenet. The agreement applies for the remainder of DAZN’s current rights period.
From next season, Play Sports customers will be able to access the full DAZN Total package. This includes the Jupiler Pro League, the Challenger Pro League and the Women’s Super League, as well as other top international competitions from DAZN’s portfolio, including LaLiga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and the NBA. Matches will be available live on television and through the app. More information on the updated offer will follow.
“Belgian football belongs in the living room. We are therefore incredibly happy and proud that, together with DAZN, we can make this possible again,” says Dieter Nieuwdorp, Chief Commercial Officer at Telenet group. “We strive to offer our customers an excellent experience, so it is great news that from next season onwards, through Play Sports, they will once again be able to access their favourite Belgian club, complemented by the best of European top football from DAZN’s portfolio.”
Thanks to this agreement, Telenet is bringing Belgian football back to Play Sports. This means supporters will once again have access to their favourite clubs and competitions via Telenet.
A gift this month for all Telenet TV customers
Because Telenet understands that a year without Belgian football has not been enjoyable, it will offer a selection of the remaining play-off matches to all Telenet TV customers via the Telenet TV box, at no extra cost. During matchdays seven, eight, nine and ten of the current Champions’ Play-offs, Telenet will broadcast two matches each round. In total, this amounts to eight top matches. Dieter Nieuwdorp said: “The fact that we can already make our collaboration with DAZN tangible now, by offering eight Champions’ Play-off matches to all our customers with a Telenet TV box, is a great extra. And from next season onwards, with Telenet you will truly have access to all the sport you could want to watch. From the English Premier League, F1, the Champions League, cyclo-cross, MXGP and basketball, and now also Belgian football, which makes us quite proud.”
