Telenet continues to innovate and launches Wi-Fi WorkPass

Mechelen, 13 May 2025. To provide even better guidance to business owners in the digital world, Telenet is launching “Wi-Fi WorkPass". A handy app that enables you to split your Wi-Fi network into several zones: a secure zone for private use, one for employees and one for guests or customers. Moreover, the Phone2Go landline service will be succeeded by Voice Pro 2 Go.

Wi-Fi WorkPass: a handy app to manage your network

In a catering establishment, a doctor’s practice or at the reception desk of a company, 88% of Flemish consumers expect Wi-Fi connectivity. Free Wi-Fi for your customers is consequently a must and beneficial for the image and online visibility of your business. Until now, SOHO customers could already securely offer free Wi-Fi to visitors thanks to Wi-Fi Business.

Wi-Fi WorkPass is taking it another step further and gives business owners even more control over their Wi-Fi network. Wi-Fi WorkPass works in addition to your Telenet 360° Wi-Fi. This smartest Wi-Fi system ensures that your modem, Wi-Fi pods and other devices can interface and  automatically make up a single Wi-Fi network in your business. With the intuitive Wi-Fi WorkPass app, you can easily manage your professional Wi-Fi network and create separate networks for your customers, employees, and private use. You decide who gets access to which zone and who can connect to your Wi-Fi. This improves control, insight and flexibility.

• Secure zone: business owners can use this secure zone for devices such as security cameras, payment terminals or printers. You decide manually which devices gain access. Unreliable devices will automatically be rejected.
• Employee zone: this is the basic network; employees can connect to it, create their own profile and link their device. Do you want to prevent a former employee from gaining access? If so, you can block a device.
• Guest zone: this network is for customers or guests. How they connect is entirely up to you as a business owner (e.g. without a password or e-mail address). You can also set a consumption limit.

The Wi-Fi WorkPass option costs 20 euros per month and includes 1 smart Wi-Fi pod.

Welcome Voice Pro 2 Go

Business owners who need a landline can currently opt for a traditional landline (Classic) or a landline via an app on their smartphone (2Go). The Phone2Go option will enable you to make calls via a mobile or desktop app. The recipient will see the business owner's professional landline number, not a private cell phone number. With Phone2Go you can add up to 2 numbers and only call Belgian landlines and mobile numbers; with the updated Voice Pro 2 Go you can add as many as 10 numbers and make international and pay calls. Phone2Go will no longer be sold as of now. Existing Phone2Go customers will be migrated to Voice Pro 2 Go later this year, and they will be notified in a timely manner. Voice Pro 2 Go costs 11.78 euros per month.
