Telenet group appoints three new members to its Senior Leadership Team
Mechelen, December 17, 2024 – Telenet Group Holding SA today announces the appointment of three new members to its Senior Leadership Team (hereinafter "SLT"), as part of the reorganization of its structure announced last September. These appointments aim to strengthen Telenet group's ability to respond more effectively and with greater agility to growth opportunities and strategic challenges facing the company. All three will report to John Porter, CEO of Telenet.
Effective January 1, 2025, two positions will be filled by internal talents: Kirsten Florentie, currently Director "People and Workplace," will join the team as Chief People & Corporate Communications Officer, and Piet Porteman, currently Director "Strategy and Portfolio," will become the new Chief Strategy Officer.
Starting March 1, 2025, Silvia Brady, an external talent, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding Erik Van den Enden who left the company on September 1. Silvia brings a strong track record of more than 20 years of financial leadership experience within companies like Stryker, Lucent Technologies, Avaya, and Citrix. Bernadette Vandamme, currently Director "Financial Planning and Controlling," will continue to act as interim until her arrival.

Kirsten Florentie joined Telenet group in 2016, first as an HR Business Partner and, since 2020, she has held the position of Vice President of People & Workplace. Under her leadership, the company navigated the COVID-19 pandemic, introduced a flexible working model, fostered continuous dialogue between employees and leaders, electrified the vehicle fleet, and stimulated employee growth through "Learning Weeks." Prior to that, Kirsten worked in the pharmaceutical sector, at SD Worx, and then at Agfa Graphics, where she led global change management programs and developed innovative work strategies.
Piet Porteman has 24 years of experience in the telecommunications sector. After starting his career in academia as a researcher, he then held several strategic positions at Mobistar (now Orange Belgium), notably as head of residential customer management. For 16 years at Telenet group, he has held various key positions; first in marketing for residential and SoHo customers, where he notably developed and launched the integrated WIGO and ONE offers, and then in the strategic development of the company where he led major projects such as the creation of Wyre, the joint venture between Telenet group and Fluvius.
Silvia Brady has over 20 years of leadership experience in the financial field within multinational companies operating in the technology and telecommunications sectors, notably in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Originally from Ecuador and also an American citizen, she has lived and worked in many countries where she led international expansion projects, improved company profitability, and built high-level financial teams within renowned companies such as Stryker, Citrix, Hitachi Vantara, Nortel Networks, Avaya, and Lucent Technologies.
Ann Caluwaerts, currently Chief Corporate Development Officer within the SLT, whose departure was announced last September, will definitively leave Telenet group on January 24.
